School of Engineering
About School of Engineering
The School of Engineering (SoE) is a small school within University High School. The school officially launched September, 2008 with freshmen seats for 50 girls and 50 boys. 50 girls and 50 boys are to be added each year thereafter for an approximate academy size of 400. The purpose of the SoE is to prepare students to enter a technical college major after high school. The academy features a rigorous engineering curriculum (provided by Project Lead The Way) in addition to an A-G college prep course of study.
Each year a student in the academy takes one engineering elective (see the titles to the right), along with their A-G course load.
